Bold Murals | Coming to the Zoo on February 15

Artists are invited to join Brevard Zoo’s upcoming mural exhibition, “Bold Murals: The Joy of Nature,” set to open at the Zoo February 15, 2025. We are looking for 14 Florida-based artists who can be available to paint live at the Zoo for the first few days of the exhibition. Chosen artists will be asked to create 8-foot murals with the prompt of “How does nature bring you joy?” The completed murals from this first exhibition will remain displayed at the Zoo through May 2025. A second exhibition is planned for September 2025, and another call for artists will be held in spring 2025.

World Seagrass Day | March 1 | 10 AM - 3 PM

Celebrate World Seagrass Day with Restore Our Shores at the Zoo! Enjoy fun activities in our center loop from 10:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. There will also be opportunities to learn about these important plants and how to help our Indian River Lagoon from several lagoon-focused organizations. Free with Zoo admission. 

Adult Program: Zookeeper Olympics | March 8 | 10 AM - 12 PM

Olympians are the ultimate athletes, but Zookeepers are the ultimate animal care experts. They may not earn medals, but we’re going to test your strength, stamina, and skill to see if you can hang with the rigors of a zookeeper’s day. $23/Member, $28/Non-Member.
